SUNSETROOTS. This project is a music festival based off of the Baobab Trees of Madagascar. I was prompted to create a festival using a geographical location that would make the space special. The trees are known to be deeply rooted and symbolize strength, resilience, and longevity. This was a important finding when choosing my location, because I wanted the festival to flow from genre to genre showing it's appreciation of music from all backgrounds.
I used a lot of elements familiar with the culture of Madagascar along with the colors being vibrant– similar to many of the garments worn and art created in the region. With this, I created a rollout poster, wristbands for each day, flyers with the schedule on it, lanyards for attendees, merchandise, and what a potential social feed would look like!
